The hotel patio overlooking Tay StreetFit for a Queen - The Atholl Arms Hotel Dunkeld was built over 185 years ago. Eleven years later, on the 11th September 1844, Queen Victoria chose to eat and sleep here.

Today the Atholl Arms Hotel is in good hands, owned by a couple who have learnt their trade in the Scottish hotel industry running hotels and restaurants in Pitlochry, Aviemore area and Kinloch Rannoch.

The hotel restaurant has gained a reputation for the quality of its cuisine, collecting a number of awards.

The bedrooms and suites – you have a choice of room types, with six bedrooms overlook the River Tay. Classic and standard bedrooms on the first and the second floor. NOTE:- there is no lift in this old building. The staff are happy to help with your luggage.

Room facilities include en-suite bathrooms, free WiFi, flat screen TV, tea and coffee facilities and hairdryers.

Children – many of the bedrooms are spacious, allowing for the addition of single beds. The hotel offers baby cots and small children’s beds for some of the larger standard rooms. The Bistro has a children’s menu.

Dog-Friendly– Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on the leash at all times. They are provide with a water bowl, mat, towel, blankets, poo bags and biscuits. Dogs are welcome in the lounge, bar and Meeting Place but not the Riverview restaurant. There is a pet charge of £13 per dog per night. You are asked to advise you have a dog when you book.

Special celebrations and parties – whether an intimate family celebration dinner with fine linen, exquisite tableware or a banquet for up to 50 people, the Atholl Arms Hotel is an ideal venue.

Corporate Events, Conferences – Looking for a Quality meeting space away from city centres, the Atholl Arms Hotel, only 12 miles from the city of Perth and an hour from Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. Ideal as a Training venue.

Weddings – Dunkeld with its historic Cathedral Church with large lawns that stretch down to the River Tay. Its 18th century town adding to make it a great location for a wedding. The hotel is licensed as a civil weddings venue. After the officially marriage ceremony, the newlyweds can retire to the hotel for their drinks reception with the option of canapés, followed by the wedding meal and celebrations. The hotel has a wedding planner check list starting 12 to 6months away followed by 3month, 6 weeks, 3 weeks and 1 week checks. All to help ensure your wedding runs smoothly. The staff are very happy to help to make sure it all goes smoothly.

Exclusive Use - the Atholl Arms is run primarily as a hotel, but does offer the option of an exclusive use, allowing you to treat the hotel as your home for a period of time.
