The Struan Inn by the House of Bruar
The Struan Inn is the Country Inn 1.5 miles from the House of Bruar, with a reputation for its meals.
Built in 1863 in a lovely rural setting as a traditional stone-built Scottish Inn. The Bar and the Deerstalker’s Lounge provide an ideal place to relax. There is log burning stoves where guests can relax with a drink prior to going through to dinner.
Importantly there is a choice where to eat, either the cosy and intimate Clachan Restaurant, with views across to Struan Point, or the larger, more formal Errochty Restaurant. In the summer months there is a garden with outdoor seating area available.
The Struan Inn Head Chef, Mike Watt, is the former Grampian Chef of the Year, takes over in a brand new commercial kitchen installed in winter 2017. Mike has a wealth of experience and a passion for cooking traditional Scottish food and other local game dishes. He is assisted by young award-winning Chef Anthony Bristol.
The Inn can now cater for larger numbers, as a result of its new purpose built commercial kitchen.
