Nowhere else on the Highland Games circuit does the crowd interact with the competitors as they do at Pitlochry. Gates open 0930 am, the events program start at 10.30 hrs. Pitlochry Highland Games hosts a number of competitions including: Heavyweights, Highland Dancing, Junior Piping, and Athletics. 11.45am – 17 Pipe Bands parade down Pitlochry main street to the games field. Followed by the Pipe Band Championship cycle races, Drum Majors’ demonstration, high jump, long jump and triple jump Highland dancing events, childrens’ races and ending at around 5pm with Mass Parade of Pipe Bands.  Entry fee:- Adults £8, Children (5 – 16 years) £2, Car Parking £2. The Enchanted Forest – Cosmos

Each year the Enchanted Forest show is unique. This year’s show is called ‘Cosmos – Look up and be inspired’.  Surprises are said to include a new immersive installation and an audio-visual spectacle that is centred on Loch Dunmore. The Enchanted Forest is an outdoor sound and light show which takes place at Forestry Commission Scotland’s Faskally Wood near Pitlochry. Tickets must be purchased in advance, with coaches departing from Fishers Hotel in the centre of Pitlochry. Generally visitors spend at least 60 to 90 minutes in the forest to fully appreciate the show. Most visitors walk around the forest more than once. Remember you can stay as long as you like. The Red Squirrel: A future in the forest showcases one of Britain’s favourite mammals and at the same time, makes the case for the expansion of its native woodland home. The book’s stunning imagery comes from renowned Cairngorms photographer Neil McIntyre, who has spent 20 years following the lives of his local squirrels.
