About the Loch Tay Safaris boat – The modern cabin Rib `Iolaire` is safe, comfortable, fast, dry and guaranteed to raise a smile. Seating up to 12 people. It has been purchased for its exceptional efficiency, while at the same time being one of the best sea keeping RHIBs around. The cabin is built in robust marine grade aluminium, tailor-made for Loch Tay Safaris, with windows carefully designed to give the best viewing. The seats have been chosen to provide maximum comfort in the light and airy cabin, which is ideal for those wet and windy days.

Loch Tay Safaris is part of a long history of boats on Loch Tay. The Loch Tay Steamboat Company operated five steamers, Queen of the Lake, Lady of the Lake, Sybilla, Carlotta, and Magpie in the loch’s waters from 1882 to 1949. In 2003 the Loch Tay Steam Packet Company commissioned Fegusons the Clydeside shipbuilders to build a new steamer “The Spirit”, which unfortunately never was launched due to a dispute over the welds. This can still be seen on the north side of the loch, near to Kenmore.

Loch Tay Safaris boat is also available for private charter.
