Set on the edge of town within two acres of tranquil gardens and woodland, Birchwood Pitlochry provides a peaceful escape inviting guests to relax and unwind. The hotel is ideally located near the Pitlochry festival theatre and just a short walk from the Pitlochry dam and fish ladder, while the town itself offers a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafés to explore. Our in-house Explorer Guide further enhances each stay, offering thoughtfully curated half- and full-day itineraries both locally and further afield.

Accommodation

Our bedrooms are individually styled with a natural colour palette of greens, muted blues, and soft creams. In larger rooms and suites, Colefax & Fowler wallpapers add a layer of traditional elegance. These tones reflect the surrounding Highland landscape and, together with carefully considered design details, create a calm, refined atmosphere with a sense of understated luxury.

All rooms are equipped with a hotel TV system and feature curated in-room amenities & luxury toiletries from Gordon Castle. All rooms include Nespresso Professional or Nespresso Vertuo machines, fine bone china cups, Scottish shortbread, and a selection of premium teas. To enhance the feeling of a home away from home, our complimentary Pantry offers a selection of treats to enjoy in-room or take along while exploring the local area.

Food

Our food offering is centred around relaxed, seasonal dining—featuring small plates, sharing platters, and comfort classics that celebrate Scottish produce at its best. We work closely with small Scottish producers to bring distinctive and high-quality ingredients to Pitlochry.

The kitchen is exclusively open to hotel residents and their guests, ensuring a personalised and attentive dining experience. Guests have the freedom to dine where and when they choose, whether in the bar, restaurant, or library, creating a flexible and unhurried approach to mealtimes.
